Electric Motion Systems with extended linear displacements for optimal automotive research
Sustained linear acceleration cues are required when driving simulation needs to be of the highest realism. By positioning an electric 6DOF motion platform on top of an XY electric driven rails system, the 6-DOF motion system and the XY system seamlessly work together to extend cues in X and Y direction (surge and sway) beyond the limits of the 6DOF motion system. These systems are used for amongst others autonomous driving developments and vehicle dynamics testing. Leading automotive manufacturers have successful been using these advanced motion systems for many years already.
