Renovation project with both hydraulic an mechanical actuators
In 2020/2021 the “Zeedoksluis” at the port of Den Helder lock is renewed. It was the first thorough renovation since its construction in 1974. The moving parts of the lock gates are replaced, and the lock is fitted with a new electrical, operating and control system.
Van Halteren Technologies has delivered 8 pieces of Electro Hydraulic Actuators (EHA’s) for driving the miter gate doors and 8 pieces of Electro Mechanical Actuators (EMA’s) to drive the valves.
EHA miter gate doors:

EMA valves:
