Miter gate doors are driven with 2 VHT’s Electro Mechanical Actuators
Smith Canal is a slough that runs along the south side of Smith Tract in Stockton. The slough connects to the Stockton Deepwater Channel just east of the Stockton Port (Rough and Ready Island). Because of the flood.
The Smith Canal Gate project includes a fixed cellular sheet pile floodwall, miter gate structure with temporary in-water works and shoring, improvements to Dad’s Point, and additional access improvements to the Stockton Golf and Country Club.
The miter gate doors are driven with 2 VHT’s Electro Mechanical Actuators, size 270 with a stroke length of 3000 mm, and are provided with a cardanic ring, limit switches and shock absorber.
