State-of-the-art simulation
Every movement of the simulator needs to be realistic. That means the bumps in the road, the braking, the cornering, the acceleration. But also, you need to be able to look out of any window and see what’s going on in the outside world. The building that houses these simulators is set up to ensure that the test subjects feel like they are walking from their home to the car, which immediately increases the immersion
Intensive testing
Before the simulators are fully operational, they will undergo an intensive period of testing. After that, they will be ready to provide the data and information it needs to further improve the driving experiences of the cars, and to help on the journey towards fully automated vehicles.
