Both the Akersluis and the Cramergrachtsluis are locks located in the center of Amsterdam.
Since 2010, both locks are operated remotely. From that time, hydraulic cylinders were actuating the mitre gates and valves. In 2021, the hydraulic drives of the doors and slides of both locks are replaced by sixteen Electro Mechanical Actuators (EMA’s) from VHT to Hollandia and used by the city of Amsterdam.
